Vishisht Rachnayen is a collection of 22 important articles and speeches written by the former Prime Minister of India, Shri Charan Singh, between 1933 and 1985. Through the study of this book, today's readers will understand that the challenges of the present are neither new nor insurmountable. Tackling them requires a mindset or determination, which certainly existed in the son of the soil, Charan Singh. His writings are like a lighthouse guiding ships lost at sea to the shore. In the light of his writings, we can not only understand the current challenges in the right perspective but also find solutions to them. These articles reflect his political, social, and economic vision. From a thematic perspective, these writings are divided into four sections: Social Writings, Economic Writings, Political Writings, and Conclusion.

Chaudhary Charan Singh's spiritual consciousness and political acumen were inspired by Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati and Mahatma Gandhi, while Sardar Patel was his hero. Chaudhary Sahib has presented his thoughts on these personalities in his writings. Along with social issues like caste system, reservation, population control, and national language, two rare articles on etiquette are also given in Section One: Social Writings.

Chaudhary Sahib considered agriculture, handloom, and rural India as the foundation of India's progress. In his view, it was rural India that, if given prominence, could economically strengthen the country and solve severe problems like unemployment. His opponents accused him of being a supporter of wealthy farmers concerning land reforms and the abolition of the zamindari system in Uttar Pradesh. He responded to these accusations in a very logical manner. Articles focused on the neglectful policies towards villages, farmers, and agriculture, and the problem of black money are included in Section Two: Economic Writings.

Section Three: Political Writings includes analyses of the root causes of India's long subjugation, Gandhian thought, the fundamental policies of the country's first non-Congress Janata Party government, a sociological analysis of the nationally renowned Maya Tyagi case, the dangers of states based on language, and articles on his hero, Sardar Patel's memory. This section also contains two historically significant speeches by Chaudhary Sahib, warning about the crisis in democracy and the dangers of national disintegration.

The final Section Four: Conclusion presents Chaudhary Sahib's brief thoughts on most issues related to politics, social policy, and the country.
