In Bhadaula, good farming land became available for Rs 21,000. Lakhpat Singh wanted Mir Singh to move there. Two of their brothers had served in the British Army during the Boer War in South Africa from 1899 to 1902. Their salary and pension helped fund the Rs 7,000 down payment, allowing the land to remain in the name of the original owner until fully paid off. The family reunited, and together they worked the 21-acre land. In approximately 1961, Charan Singh and his two brothers sold the land.
