This presentation answers the questions Who was Charan Singh? What made him the person he was? It is intended for all kinds of audiences - academics, journalists, students, policy makers, politicians and the public. We discuss his views on the problems of poverty, unemployment, inequality, caste, corruption and the solutions he prescribed. Our primary responsibility is to document Charan Singh’s life and ideas, and our parallel activity interprets his corpus of ideas, writing and life by excavating aspects from the archive and bringing them alive for today.
