On discontinuing grants to caste based educational institutions

In this note to the Honorable Premier dated 30 September, 1949, Charan Singh raises the question of discontinuing grants-in-aid to those educational institutions which are named after castes. He believed caste to be the greatest stumbling block in the process of national integration and solidarity.

Charan Singh wrote a similar letter to the Chief Minister later in 1953, but again, to no avail.
